**JMT ARTICLE SUBMISSIONS**

Open Submissions

We accept open submissions, at any time, on any topic pertaining to moral theology. All open submissions undergo double-blind peer review. **NB**: Please **do not** submit book reviews through our open submission process. How to Submit Articles

Please complete the Scholastica submission form as thoroughly as possible. The following elements are required for submission: * Title of the essay; * A 150-200 word abstract of the manuscript; * A 30-word lede describing the essay (labelled “Lede” and included beneath the abstract in the abstract box); * Up to 10 key words; * All author information requested. THE MANUSCRIPT * Should be approximately 7,500-10,000 words (including footnotes); * Should be prepared for blind review; * Should be in Microsoft Word format; * Should comply with the [JMT Style Guide](https://www.dropbox.com/s/7e8xnz7fmnx8bi4/JMT%20Style%20Sheet%20-%20Version%209.3.pdf?dl=0). ETHICAL GUIDELINES Manuscripts submitted to the JMT should: * not be simultaneously considered for publication in another venue; * consist of original research and writing; and * meet accepted canons for academic scholarship. The peer-review process adheres to accepted canons for confidentiality. Other aspects of the submission process are not ordinarily considered confidential, unless confidentiality is requested in writing by the author at the time of submission. Correlatively, authors are welcome to list submitted manuscripts on their CV as "under review with the _Journal of Moral Theology_" until a decision is rendered by the JMT editor.

Special Issues

The _Journal of Moral Theology_ regularly publishes special issues in April and October. If you have an idea for a special issue, please email the [editor](mailto:journal.moral.theology@gmail.com). Please include a paragraph describing your idea, the contact information of the people who would serve as editors for the issue, and a proposed timeline. If the topic is a fit for the journal, you will be asked to prepare a more thorough proposal and, if appropriate, a call for papers that will be posted on the _JMT_ Scholastica site. All submissions for special issues also undergo double-blind peer review.
